Modern society moves at a fast pace, and relationships develop quickly, leading to a significant increase in divorce rates. While divorce is one way people begin a new chapter in their lives, it doesn't guarantee a happier outcome. The following four reasons will make you reconsider your decision to divorce.
1.50% of divorced people regret their decision. A survey of 2,000 divorced individuals or couples who had ended a relationship of at least five years in the UK asked them if they regretted it, and their answers were shocking. Half of them said they regretted their divorce, and 42% believed that breaking up should not be the final outcome.
2. The more times a person remarries, the higher the probability of divorce. According to divorce statistics, the divorce rate for first marriages is 41% to 50%, for second marriages it is 60% to 67%, and for third marriages it is as high as 73% to 74%.
3. Low divorce rate among leaders. Leaders are expected to have a perfect family, especially in the United States, where there is an unwritten rule that the president cannot be divorced. In fact, only one US president has been divorced: Reagan.
4. Couples with long commutes are more likely to divorce. You may never have connected these two things, but if you spend at least 45 minutes commuting each day, your marriage is at risk, according to a study from Moöhne University in Sweden.
