Over the past six months, Zhou Tong noticed she was experiencing symptoms such as irritability, insomnia, dry skin, fatigue, and irregular menstruation. She also frequently got inexplicably angry, developed many pimples, and her boyfriend commented that she had become a "yellow-faced woman." It was then that Zhou Tong realized her menstrual cycle had been unstable for the past six months. She quickly took annual leave and went to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Center of the Chongqing Armed Police General Hospital for a checkup, where she was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst.
Liu Jing explained that Zhou Tong's symptoms were caused by ovarian cysts. Considering that Zhou Tong had not yet given birth, the hospital performed the most advanced laparoscopic minimally invasive technique currently available internationally. "Women should have regular gynecological checkups," Dr. Liu Jing advises. She recommends that women have a gynecological checkup once a year, and women over 35 must have one annually. Menopausal symptoms caused by declining hormone levels may require hormone supplementation under the guidance of a doctor.
