Applying skincare products, using face masks, taking health supplements... many women pay attention to skincare, hoping to delay aging. But for some women, this may be futile.

Last Saturday, the Fifth Meeting of the Women and Children's Committee of the Armed Police Force was held, hosted by the Women and Children's Committee of the Armed Police Headquarters and organized by the Chongqing General Hospital of the Armed Police. Experts pointed out that some women's aging is not due to age, but to serious gynecological diseases.

Irritability, insomnia, and frequent outbursts of anger

Dr. Liu Jing, a gynecology expert at the Chongqing Armed Police General Hospital, recounted the following incident to a reporter from the Chongqing Evening News:

Zhou Tong (pseudonym), 27, whose hometown is Longsheng Town, Qijiang District, works as a manager's assistant in a large state-owned enterprise. She cherishes this job very much, often working overtime on her days off and not participating in regular physical examinations.

Over the past six months, Zhou Tong noticed she was experiencing symptoms such as irritability, insomnia, dry skin, fatigue, and irregular menstruation. She also frequently got inexplicably angry, developed many pimples, and her boyfriend commented that she had become a "yellow-faced woman." It was then that Zhou Tong realized her menstrual cycle had been unstable for the past six months. She quickly took annual leave and went to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Center of the Chongqing Armed Police General Hospital for a checkup, where she was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst.

Liu Jing explained that Zhou Tong's symptoms were caused by ovarian cysts. Considering that Zhou Tong had not yet given birth, the hospital performed the most advanced laparoscopic minimally invasive technique currently available internationally. After one course of treatment, Zhou Tong recovered to a state appropriate for her age.

Gynecological diseases may cause aging

Why do gynecological diseases cause aging? Dr. Liu Jing explains that the reproductive system is not only the origin of life and an important place for marital life, but also the production workshop of estrogen, a woman's beauty secret, which is directly related to whether a woman is beautiful, young and healthy.

As the saying goes, "An old tree dies from the roots." Similarly, the aging of the reproductive system is a prelude and a major contributing factor to a woman's aging process. The ovaries in the female reproductive system secrete estrogen, maintaining female characteristics and a youthful appearance. After age 35, as estrogen levels decline, symptoms of reproductive system aging begin to appear.

A decline in estrogen levels can lead to some menopausal symptoms. Low estrogen levels can cause osteoporosis, kyphosis, body atrophy, and increased risk of fractures in women.

Women with these three lifestyle habits are most prone to premature aging

Liu Jing explained that women with three certain lifestyle habits are most prone to premature aging: first, they rarely take care of their reproductive system; second, they have frequent miscarriages; and third, they frequently use feminine washes.

"Women should have regular gynecological checkups," Dr. Liu Jing advises. She recommends that women have a gynecological checkup once a year, and women over 35 must have one annually. Menopausal symptoms caused by declining hormone levels may require hormone supplementation under the guidance of a doctor.

Want to know if your ovaries are healthy and how well they are functioning? Liu Jing says that women can go to the gynecology department of the hospital for a blood test to check their sex hormone levels and then have an ultrasound to check the number of follicles between the second and fifth day of their menstrual period.

Last weekend, the 5th Women and Children's Committee Meeting of the Armed Police Force concluded at the Chongqing General Hospital of the Armed Police Force. Several cutting-edge technologies were implemented at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Center of the Chongqing General Hospital of the Armed Police Force. The Chongqing General Hospital of the Armed Police Force is currently conducting a public welfare activity on minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment, where patients can receive free examinations including routine gynecological checkups, routine vaginal discharge tests, cervical smears, colposcopy, and ultrasound.
